November 14, 2008: A little bit a day adds up over time. Indy Car, Grand National/Winston Cup, and Busch Grand National are all complete through 1985. The Indy Racing League results are complete since its inception in 1996, and CART/CCWS is also complete from 1999 to present. Also added professional North American sports car results from the late 1950s through 1981, including the USAC Road Racing Championship, the SCCA's US Road Racing Championship, Can-Am, and Trans Am, as well as IMSA. There has also been some work in the later years of NASCAR's regional racing series.
May 27, 2008: Plugging away slowly, but it adds up. Full Indy Car results from 1963-1965. USAC Sprint results from 1962-1965. NASCAR Grand National 1961-1964. Winston West now as complete as possible through 1976. More ARCA updates through 1958. 2005 Champ Car. (Among others). We're now over 7,000 races. In the to-do pile: lots of NASCAR North results from 1979 and 1980. A few less well-known sports car endurance events. And top 3 finishers from NEMA midget races.
April 8, 2008: Over the past month, completed 1962 Indy Car and 1961-1962 Grand National results. 2005-2006 IRL and 2006 Champ Car results. 1961 USAC Sprint Car and Road Racing Championship. 2006 Formula One. 1995 CART. Several ASA races of various dates. Also, a reader sent me summaries of many of the ARCA (then MARC) races for the 1953 through 1955 seasons greatly expanding our knowledge of the earlies years of that organization. Probably a few other things that have slipped my mind as well.
March 8, 2008: Been very busy with a new job in recent weeks. Updates will probably continue to be less frequent and less extensive for the next few months as a result. Sometime in the past month, I've managed to complete the 1999 IRL season and the 2007 Formula One season.
February 10, 2008: 2007 IRL and Champ Car results added. 1971 Winston West results completed.
February 3, 2008: 1960 Grand National results completed. 1967 SCCA Trans Am results completed.
January 29, 2008: Full results of all NASCAR Convertible races are now posted. Having the data integrated with the Grand National results has allowed a few educated guesses about which cars in the "Sweepstakes" races were Grand National entries and which were Convertibles. I am looking for point standing information throughout the 1956 through 1959 seasons to help confirm these identifications. I eventually hope to be able to come up with Grand National standings with the Convertible entries separated out to reflect NASCAR rules at the time (that is, starts and points credited only the driver's respective division in the combined races.)
January 26, 2008: Added 1961 Indy Car season results.
January 25, 2008: Redesigned driver career race records display format to include more information. 1960 open wheel complete (finally). 1998 IRL results completed.
January 15, 2008: Have posted at least top 3 finishers (and often more) for every ASA National Tour race in the 1970s.
January 5, 2008: Continuing to add 1960 open wheel results. Also updating 1970s Grand American and ARCA races.
December 30, 2007: Added results of 1960 Indy Car races. Also updated several NASCAR Grand American races, and a few ARCA and IMCA stock car races.
December 28, 2007: Added 1959 Grand National results.
December 27, 2007: Added remaining USAC and NEMA races from 1959.
December 25, 2007: Slowly adding results from the 1959 season for the last week and a half. Indy Car results complete. Sprint and Midgets mostly complete through mid-September. Also completed the finishing order for all 1972 Grand National East races.
December 17, 2007: 1958 results for several sprint and midget races, as well as Indy Car, NASCAR Grand National, and the first season of the USAC Road Racing Championship.
December 4, 2007: Busy week. Added 1957 open wheel results for May-December, and 1957 Grand National results. Also completed 1989 ARTGO results and 2005-2006 ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck series results.
November 26, 2007: Updated 1946 AAA Sprint Car results. Added 1957 Indy Car results, and some Sprint Car and Midget races from January-April 1957.
November 24, 2007: Cleanup completed. All expected additions listed on November 21 completed.
November 21, 2007: Cleanup complete except for years 2000 through 2002. ARCA results added for 2003 through 2006. Expected additions: ARCA results for 2007 to be added by the end of the week. Top 3 finishers for NEMA Midgets 1953-1956 to be added by end of weekend, followed by Grand National races for 1956.
November 9, 2007: Cleanup complete through May 1991. Daytona Busch Clash results and Charlotte Winston (All-Star) results added through 1991 as well.
November 7, 2007: Cleanup is complete through 1975. Updates have been done to USAC, Grand American, Grand National East and Daytona Speedweeks races between 1966 and 1975 as well. Coming soon: I have received a list of top 3 finishers for every NEMA Midget race dating back to 1953. Once cleanup is complete, those results will start finding their way onto the site. Stay tuned.
November 3, 2007: Cleanup is still in progress. Results from 1945 through 1965 have been fixed; results from 1966 to the present may still contain extraneous zeroes. In the process of cleanup, updates have been made to some USAC Stock Car results, as well as to Speedweeks support races at Daytona.
November 1, 2007: Expect no new results for a few days. Currently in the process of cleaning up a bunch of extraneous zeros in the database, mostly in the "laps" and "laps led" fields. Grand National results have been added through 1955. Will resume with 1956 results as soon as possible.

October 20, 2007: Added lots of partial 1955 sprint and midget results. 2006 and 2007 Prelude to the Dream races at Eldora. More 1957 NASCAR Convertible results. August 31, 2007: Continuing work with ARCA in the 1980s. Also added more NASCAR Grand National results from 1952 and 1953. There are now 3,000 races in the database.
August 28, 2007: Starting to work through the 1980s in both ASA and ARCA. This work will continue throughout the week.
August 26, 2007: Added several ARCA and ASA results from the 1970s, but much remains to be rediscovered in that area.
August 21, 2007: Added some of the 1952 NASCAR Grand National results. Updated some of the 1966 and 1968 USAC Stock Car results. Added the (few) 1960s ARCA results that I have been able to find.
August 19, 2007: Completed 1951 NASCAR Grand National results. Added 1994 Winston West results (mostly top 5 finishers) and 1995 Busch North results. More 1956 open wheel results.
August 16, 2007: Added a 1983 NASCAR North Series race in Canada won by Dale Earnhardt. Found some ASA results from 1973-1975. Working on more short-track open wheel races from 1956.
August 9, 2007: 1965 NASCAR Pacific Coast Late Model results are posted. Also added more 1965 ARCA results, details of some ARCA Talladega races, and added a few ARCA Michigan races. Fixed most of the starting order errors for Talladega. Over 2,500 races now in the database.
August 2, 2007: Have added starting and finishing positions for every ARCA race at Talladega. A few errors in starting orders remain, and no starting order has been found for the April 1970 race, however. The 1966 SCCA Trans-Am season is complete, with the exception of the Upper Marlboro race in August, in which one page of results is missing from the original source. Started on the 1970 NASCAR Grand American results.

July 17, 2007: Have been adding results (some complete; some Top 5 only) from several NASCAR series from the mid-1990s. So far: Winston West (1991, 1993), Busch North (1991, first half 1993, 1994, 1997), and Modifieds (1993). Also added the 1972 Silver Crown results.
July 13, 2007: Added the results from the 1971 USAC Silver Crown series. Completed 1956 Indy Car results.
July 12, 2007: In the past week or so, added two more months of 1951 NASCAR Grand National results (including the Southern 500 with 82 starters), 1956 Pikes Peak Hill Climb results for Indy Cars and stock cars, the first two SCCA Trans Am races ever held in 1966, and as many 1968 NASCAR Grand Touring results as I have been able to find. Also came up with a few NASCAR Grand American stock car results from 1980.
July 3, 2007: Added a bunch of open-wheel results from 1956. There are now over 2,000 races in the database.
July 2, 2007: Continued to add an assortment of results. Recent additions include many of the support races at Daytona International Speedway in the 1960s. Post-WWII Indy Car results are now complete through 1955 and the end of the AAA sanction.
June 24, 2007: Updated USAC stock car results from 1965 through 1968 to reflect additional information. Added winner lists for several series to the research page. Added a few 1964 ARCA results to the database as well. Much offline research to be added as well.
May 29, 2007: More NASCAR Pacific Coast Late Model results for 1957 and 1958, and various other local races involving Parnelli Jones in that timeframe.
May 28, 2007: Added ARTGO stock car results (and some ASA) for 1984 and 1985. Added more NASCAR Pacific Coast Late Model results from 1954 through 1956. At HSCR forum, put together a list of NASCAR Busch North winners.
May 23, 2007: Added ARTGO stock car results (and a few ASA results) for 1982 and 1983. Over the past several days, added many assorted results from the mid 1990s found in old Winston Cup Scene papers. Offsite, I have spent a good part of the past week and a half trying to piece together as much detailed history of the ASA series as possible at the Historical Stock Car Racing forum. I will keep updating that thread as I uncover more race winners, and will add results to my own site when available.

April 26, 2007: Added winners of NASCAR Modified races from 1948 season. Formula One history mostly complete from 1946 through 1950. Formula 2 nearly complete for the same timeframe, with the exception of German national races that were small field, combined Formula 2/Formula 3 races. Starting to add NASCAR Grand National results from 1951.
April 20, 2007: Added winners of the two missing USAC Stock Car races, so the list is now complete. Also added and corrected several finishing times and pole speeds in 1957 and 1958 races.
April 18, 2007: Over the past few weeks, I have been adding post-WWII Indy Car, Sprint Car, Formula One, and Formula 2 results. For a change of pace, I also managed to locate and post the driver lists for the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Races held as part of the Long Beach Grand Prix since 1977, although I have unfortunately not been able to find overall results for most years. Separate professional and celebrity class results are given in the notes, when known.
April 1, 2007: Added results of most recent Grand Am Daytona Prototype sports car race as a test. Adapted the coding to allow for multiple drivers per car in race results display.
March 27, 2007: Began to add results of post-WWII Indy Car results, as well as early NASCAR and Formula One championship results.
March 17, 2007: Over the past two weeks, added a variety of race results, including several AAA stock car results from 1950-1955, some IMCA stock car results from 1953 through 1955, a few ARCA results from 1953 through 1956, ARTGO results from 1975 through 1979, results of NASCAR's Winston all-star races from 1985 through 1994 (along with Winston Open results when known), results from some of NASCAR's Craftsman Truck series (then known as SuperTruck) exhibition races before the official beginning of the series in February 1995, and an assortment of races from developmental stock car leagues in the early to mid 1990s. I should note that many of these earlier "results" currently contain only the winner's name. Any additional information regarding these events is appreciated.
March 2, 2007: Added results of 1979-1981 short track heat races to (almost) complete USAC stock car project. Added a few AAA stock car results from 1955, and a variety of early to mid 1990s results from various series.
